The Teams

Westside Dance requires a rigorous audition process for both the Pride Dance Team and the Inertia Dance Company.

These are performance-based classes that meet every day during the school day, all year. Written and practical assessments are administered throughout the year, and students learn dance history, choreography, and technique from many disciplines, including modern, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pom, high kick, musical theatre, and contemporary, (to name a just few). Both teams compete locally and nationally, and have won numerous titles and accolades over the years.

The JV teams, The Rangerettes and Inertia 2, also rehearse and perform, learning what it will take to thrive as a Pride or Inertia Team Member.

Auditions are held in Spring for the following school year, and dancers begin their fundraising and saving over the summer months in preparation for the next year.

The Booster's role is to provide fundraising and volunteer support to these outstanding teams so that they can focus on what they do best: dancing and proudly demonstrating the Westside Way!
